Talia and Arabsat are pleased to announce Talia’s long-term lease of capacity on Arabsat's brand new BADR-6 satellite. Focused over the Middle East and Africa, the BADR-6 C-band wide coverage will be used to provide new iDirect and dedicated services to Talia customers throughout the entire region.
"Expanding African services is key to our long-term growth," said Travis Mooney, Talia's Chief Operating Officer. "Capacity on BADR-6, combined with our experience running iDirect services throughout the Middle East and North Africa, allows us a great opportunity to enter the sub-Saharan African market."
Talia services on BADR-6 will provide shared and dedicated connectivity to enterprise, corporate, NGO, and channel customers throughout the Middle East and African markets, for both Internet and closed-network solutions.

يسر كلا من عربسات وتاليا الإعلان عن توقيع عقد استئجار طويل المدى لسعة فضائية على احدث أقمار عرب سات بدر 6 . حيث أن التغطية الممتدة للسى باند على القمر بدر 6 والتي ترتكز على تغطية الشرق الأوسط وإفريقيا ستمكن تاليا من تزويد عملائها بخدمات IDirect الجديدة والخدمات الموجة لعملاء تاليا في جميع أنحاء المنطقة.
وقد صرح ترافيس مونيى مدير قطاع التشغيل بتاليا قائلا " إن التوسع في خدماتنا المقدمة لإفريقيا هو البداية لخطة طويلة المدى للنمو، كما أن خبراتنا في تقديم خدمات IDirect في الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا تمنحنا فرصة عظيمة للدخول إلى سوق دول جنوب الصحراء الإفريقية "
إن الخدمات التي تقدمها تاليا عن طريق قمر عرب سات بدر6 ستوفر خدمات الانترنت والشبكات المغلقة للشركات والمؤسسات و مشاهدي القنوات الفضائية في جميع أنحاء الشرق الأوسط و إفريقيا.
كما صرح الرئيس التنفيذي لتاليا السيد ألان إفراسياب قائلا " بما إن عربسات موجهة أساسا إلى منطقة الشرق الأوسط وإفريقيا ، وحيث أنها تتربع على قمة مزودي الخدمات الفضائية بالمنطقة لهذا فهي تعتبر الشريك المثالي لنا " كما أضاف قائلا "إن هذا التوسع هو مجرد خطوة أولى في خطتنا لنصبح من ابرز مقدمي خدمات ISP الفضائية في كلا من الشرق الأوسط وإفريقيا"
وقد عبر المهندس خالد بالخيور الرئيس التنفيذي لعرب سات عن ترحيبه بهذا التعاون قائلا " أننا نعبر عن سعادتنا البالغة لان تاليا قد وقع اختيارها على احدث أقمار عرب سات بدر6 من اجل التغطية الممتدة للسى باند لجميع أنحاء قارة أفريقيا" ، كما أضاف قائلا" إننا مسرورين للغاية لان عرب سات أصبحت جزا هاما من إستراتيجية تاليا للنمو في المنطقة ".
كما أكد تايلر واجنر مدير الشئون الفنية بتاليا في تصريحاته قائلا "إن دخول السوق الافريقى عن طريق قمر بدر 6 يوفر لنا الكثير من المرونة في تقديم خدماتنا خاصة في تلك منطقة التي تعانى من ندرة السعات الفضائية الشاغرة ، ولهذا فان التغطية التي يوفرها بدر 6 تمكننا من خدمة كافة عملائنا".
واختتم المهندس خالد بالخيور تصريحاته قائلا " لقد كان هدفنا الاساسى من الحزمة سى باند على القمر بدر 6 هو تلبية الاحتياجات الملحة لسوق الاتصالات الافريقى المزدهر، وان اختيار تاليا للقمر بدر 6 لتقديم الخدمات المعلوماتية بالإضافة إلى النجاح التجاري الذي حققه القمر بدر 6 بالفعل يعكس مدى التزامنا بتوفير أفضل الخدمات المتنوعة لمنطقة الشرق الأوسط وإفريقيا"
