لاول مرة في الشرق الاوسط وشمال إفريقيا سيكون بامكان  المشاهدين في منازلهم متابعة فعاليات أولمبياد بكين حيا علي الهواء مباشرة بتقنية التليفزيون عالي الوضوح  " HDTV. " عبر قمر عرب سات بدر 4 وذلك بالتعاون والتنسيق  مع اتحـاد إذاعات الدول العربية "ASBU"

وأعلنت عرب سات اليوم أنه بامكان مشاهديها إلتقاط بث أولمبياد بكين 2008  عالي الوضوح على الترددات التالية :-

Center Frequency          : 12169MHz

Polarization                    : Vertical.

S.R                                  : 27.5MSps.

FEC                                : ¾

Center Frequency          : 11957MHz

Polarization                   : Horizontal.

S.R                                 : 27.5MSps.

FEC                               : 3/4

كما أوضحت المؤسسة أنه بامكان مشاهدي عرب سات الاستمتاع بمشاهدة باقة عرب سات المتنوعة من القنوات التليفزيونية عالية الوضوح علي نفس الترددات .

ARABSAT transmits Beijing Olympics 2008 live through HDTV  on ARABSAT Satellites

For the first time in the Middle East and North Africa the viewers at home will be able to watch the Olympics live through HDTV on ARABSAT Badr 4 satellite in collaboration with Arab Satellite Broadcasting Union "ASBU".

ARABSAT announced that the viewers will be able to receive the transmission of Beijing Olympics 2008 on the following frequencies :

Center Frequency          : 12169MHz

Polarization                   : Vertical.

S.R                               : 27.5MSps.

FEC                              : 3/4

The parameters of XDR-13 bouquet are as follows:

Center Frequency          : 11957MHz

Polarization                   : Horizontal.

S.R                               : 27.5MSps.

FEC                              : 3/4

ARABSAT also added that the viewers can also enjoy watching a verity of HDTV channels on ARABSAT HD bouquet on the same mentioned frequencies.
