Showcasing its newest Satellite, as the launching of Badr-6 count down begins

Arabsat participates in the Middle East Cable and Satellite Show (CABSAT2008)

The launch of the state-of-the-art Badr-6 which is signified by its high satellite capacities, in the next two months is becoming closer. This launch is adding more value and high flexibility and reliability to Arabsat fleet, the most advanced fleet in the Middle East region. Arabsat presents the high-definition TV service in its booth at the 14th Middle East Cable and satellite show (CABSAT2008) held at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DWTC) from 4 - 6 March 2008.

Moreover Arabsat is concurrently sponsoring the High Definition TV studio which is introduced by Dubai International Trade Center for the first time. Arabsat will provide this studio with the required satellite capacities on its exclusive orbit on 26 degree east along with the latest telecom and information technology.

Engineer Khaled Balkhyour, Arabsat President & CEO, announced that Arabsat is getting ready for the launch of its new Badr-6 satellite within the next two months in line with its strategic plans that aim at launching a new satellite each year until 2012. Thus, Arabsat will maintain its position as a leader in the provision of satellite telecommunications in the region since it is the only qualified organization in the Middle East with a fully integrated fleet of satellites including all frequency bands to cope with all future market expansions demand expected for the region.
