Arabsat BADR-6 launch set for Monday, July 7

Riyadh, 02 July 2008.

The Arab Satellite Communication Organization, Arabsat, announces today that the launch of its BADR-6 satellite  has been postponed to Monday, July 7th.

Khalid Balkheyour, President and CEO of Arabsat, revealed that he was informed early this morning by Arianespace, the satellite launcher, that "due to an anomaly identified on the electrical interface between the Ariane-5 launcher and the launch table, Arianespace has decided to replace the equipment unit concerned".

As a result, the BADR-6 flight has been delayed from Friday, July 4th to Monday, July 7th.
