ARABSAT is pleased to announce and confirm that the 2B satellite orbit inclination has been fully corrected and the satellite is currently within its nominal orbital window. This was achieved due to the relentless efforts made by the ARABSAT team of engineers with the help of the satellite and ground system contractor, Thales Alenia Space. ARABSAT 2B is now operating nominally and serving our valuable customers from its orbital window at 30.5 degE, with full payload capacity and all equipment and systems operating in nominal configuration. In addition, it still has enough fuel to live well into the year 2012.
At the operational level, all measures have been implemented with the help of the satellite and ground system contractor, TAS, to prevent a repeat of the unfortunate event that caused the satellite orbit to drift out of its designated orbital window.

يسر عرب سات أن تؤكد لعملائها الكرام على أنه تم الانتهاء بشكل تام من تصحيح الميلان الذي حدث علي مدار القمر الصناعي 2ب (2B) وأن القمر يعمل حاليا ضمن المدار الطبيعي الخاص به. وتجدر الإشارة الى أن هذا الانجاز تم تحقيقه نتيجة للجهود الجبارة التي بذلها فريق المهندسين التابع لعرب سات بالتعاون مع الشركة المصنعة للقمر تاليس ألينيا سبيس. ويعمل القمر 2ب حاليا بشكل طبيعي ويقدم خدماته لعملائنا الكرام من خلال الموقع المداري 30,5 درجة شرقا بسعة كاملة في الوقت الذي تعمل فيه كافة الأنظمة والأجهزة حسب التشكيل الخاص بها، إضافة إلي ذلك ما زال القمر يحتوي علي كمية كافية من الوقود لبقائه في مداره حتى العام 2012.
أما على المستوى التشغيلي، فقد تم تطبيق كافة الإجراءات بمساعدة من مقاول النظم الأرضية، تاليس ألينيا سبيس، لمنع تكرار وقوع الحادث المؤسف الذي أدى إلي انحراف المدار القمري بعيدا عن المدار المحدد له.
