Talia Launches New Services on Arabsat BADR-4, Takes Lease on Full Transponder

Talia is pleased to announce the long-term lease of a full transponder on Arabsat BADR-4. The 36MHz transponder is focused over the Middle East and North Africa, and will be used to provide new iDirect and dedicated services to Talia customers throughout the region.

'Talia are committed to providing the best services, and Arabsat BADR-4 is the best satellite for the Middle East,' said Travis Mooney, Talia's Chief Operating Officer. 'The strength of BADR-4's coverage and the current lack of available capacity over the region sold us on a full transponder.'

Services available on BADR-4 will include new networks on Talia's iDirect shared platform, DVB/SCPC, and SCPC/SCPC services, including iDirect-based iSCPC. Talia will also offer some space for sublease to other providers.

'One of our goals at Talia is to ensure service quality through end-to-end control of the network,' said Tyler Wagner, Talia's Chief Technical Officer. 'By taking a complete transponder, we can control everything: terrestrial connectivity at the teleport, the teleport equipment, and the space segment. Network planning becomes easier, and we can offer any service required.'
