ARABSAT signs BADR-6 manufacturing contract with EADS Astrium

The Arab Satellite Communications Organization (Arabsat) has signed a contract with the European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company (EADS Astrium) for the manufacturing of BADR-6 satellite for Arabsat.
Mr. Khalid Balkheyour, Arabsat President & CEO, disclosed that Arabsat has signed today the manufacturing contract for BADR-6 which will be completed and become ready for launching by mid 2008. The signing of this contract comes within Arabsat's strategic plans and endeavours to continue in the possession and operation of space satellites.
Engineer Balkheyour also added that Arabsat will launch the 4th generation of BADR-4 in the last quarter of 2006 and the contracting procedures for the manufacturing and launching of two of the 5th generation satellites will be completed within the same period.
Antoine Bouvier, CEO of EADS Astrium expressed his delight for this opportunity and added that EADS Astrium is proud of this partnership with Arbsat hoping that it will be renewed constantly.
In addition to its core re-known Broadcasting services to all Arab TV channels, Arabsat also provides services and support, both in the private and public sector, regional and international organisations, corporations and businessmen, Internet Service Providers, and individuals from all telecom field services such as telephony trunking, Internet broadband access and trunking and the provision of VSAT and other interactive services so that it remains one of the most critical mean of communication and interaction between the Arab countries and populations and the rest of the world. Arabsat is the only qualified organization with a full integrated fleet of satellites covering all satellite TV, internet communications, and other tele-communications interoperability services on most frequency bands, ready to welcome, adapt and support all future technologies' deployments expected to take place in the Middle East and North Africa region.

عـرب سات توقع مع أستريوم عقد تصنيع القمر بدر 6

وقعت المؤسسة العربية للاتصالات الفضائية (عرب سات ) مع شركة استريـــوم ( EADS Astrium ) الفرنسية عقد تصنيع بدر 6 من أقمار عرب سات .
وصرح المهندس / خالد بن أحمد بالخيور الرئيس التنفيذي أن عرب سات ضمن خططها الإستراتيجية في الاستمرار في امتلاك وتشغيل الأقمار الصناعية وقعت اليوم عقد تصنيع القمر بدر 6 المزمع الانتهاء من تصنيعه ليكون جاهزا للإطلاق في منتصف 2008 م .
كما أوضح بالخيور أن عرب سات ستطلق أولى أقار الجيل الرابع بدر4 في الربع الأخير من هذا العام العم 2006 م ، كما سينتهي إنشاء الله التعاقد على تصنيع وإطلاق قمرين من أقمار الجيل الخامس في نفس الفترة .
كما عبر السيد / أنطوان بوفير الرئيس التنفيذى لشركة أستريوم عن سعادته بهذه المناسبة ، وأضاف أن أستريوم فخورة بعلاقة الشراكة التي تربطها بعرب سات معربا عن أمله فى أن تجدد دائما .
يشار إلي أنه يستفيد من خدمات منظومة أقمار عرب سات جميع هيئات التليفزيون العربية سواء من القطاع العام أو الخاص وكذلك الهيئات الإقليمية والعالمية ؛ والشركات ورجال الأعمال والمؤسسات ومزودي خدمة الإنترنت والأفراد من مختلف خدمات الاتصالات مثل الربط الهاتفي والخدمات المحلية وخدمة الـ VSATوخدمة الإنترنت ، لتظل عرب سات أداة التواصل بين العرب، وجسر تفاعل مع العالم ، حيث أنها المؤسسة الوحيدة التي تغطى كافة أجزاء العالم العربي ودول الجوار بأسطول أقمار متكامل يشمل كافة الحزم الترددية لتأمين جميع التوسعات المستقبلية التي من المتوقع أن تشهدها منطقة الشرق الأوسط .
