New GHENWA and MERSAL Satellite TV channels launched on ARABSAT

New GHENWA and MERSAL satellite TV channels launched on ARABSAT


Riyadh, 20th July 2005

ARABSAT, a Leading provider of satellite communications to the Arab World, today announced the signature of a contract with Al Afdaliyah Marketing Group Ltd. to support satellite broadcasting of the two new GHENWA and MERSAL satellite TV channels which will add to ARABSAT TV Channels bouquet.

Eng. Abdullah Al Fada, General Manager, Al Afdaliyah Marketing Group Ltd. announced that the launch of GHENWA and MERSAL satellite TV channels on ARABSAT 2D satellite platform marks the first product within Al Afdaliyah Group’s planned scope of work for the launch of 18 satellite channels. This will compliment its specialized channels bouquet that meet viewers needs of drama, kids, music, tourism, environment, health, women, poetry, education, marketing and other distinguished satellite channels.

Al Fada added that Al Afdaliyah Group has selected ARABSAT satellites for their distinct world-class and latest state-of-the-art services and for their wide geographical footprint coverage, especially ARABSAT 4G satellites which launching is  scheduled for end of 2005.
