Arabsat is Sponsoring the First Middle East Broadcasting Conferences , Exhibitions  & the first High Definition (HD) Broadcasting

Riyadh, 7th  Dec 2005

Arabsat is sponsoring The first annual Middle East Broadcasters Conference and Exposition, MEB 2005,  which will take place from December 8-10, 2005 at the Beirut International Exhibition and Leisure (BIEL) Center.  This comprehensive show offers several events, including conferences, exhibitions, a gala awards dinner, and a live High Definition (HD) TV station.

ArabSat to broadcast MEB-HD 24 hours a day for the three days of the show.  MEB-HD will give broadcasters in the region a chance to see the latest technology in action and will help them learn how they can realistically begin the conversion to HD in their own stations.

The (HD) TV station’s content will include excerpts from conference sessions, interviews with broadcasting leaders, interviews on the show floor, and more.  

The (HD) transmission will be broadcasted via the Arabsat 2D satellite at  26 degrees East  and can be received  on Frequency :11604 MHz, SR: 27500, FEC: ¾ , Pol. Horizontal.
