CETel Germany (Central European Telecom Services GmbH) is a leading provider of Teleport & Satellite Services. CETel operates from their European headquarters with their own Teleport facilities in the vicinity of Bonn, Germany, and their affiliated company CETel Middle East in the U.A.E. as well as from several gateways and Teleports of their national and international partners. The CETel services comprise corporate VSAT networks, provision of satellite capacity, up- and downlink services and fibre connections, operation, service & maintenance of satellite networks including hardware provision, broadband Internet and VoIP via satellite and consulting.

CETel committed for a full transponder on the upcoming Arabsat BADR-6
To serve the growing demand in the Middle East and African market CETel has formally contracted with Arabsat to provide services on the upcoming Arabsat BADR-6 satellite. The satellite has a perfect coverage over Africa and will go in operation in summer 2008. For more details please see the coverage map. CETel committed to one full transponder with the opportunity to enlarge our capacity.
In addition, CETel is looking forward to Arabsats “fifth generation” and to further strengthen their strategic partnership with the satellite provider. Combining CETel’s knowledge with Arabsat’s expertise and excellent satellite fleet encourages both sides for a joint service and meets the growing demands of the Middle East and African market.
CETel launches DVB-S2 service
Together with CETels strategic partner Arabsat, they now offer efficient DVB-S2 services on Arabsat-2B (C-band). Due to the perfect Arabsat-2B satellite coverage this new service is designed to specifically serve CETel’s growing customers demand focused on the Gulf Region, the Middle East and African markets. DVB-S2 is the most advanced satellite transmission technique from DVB. It is a cost-effective solution for the customer with 30% greater efficiency.
CETel as a close partner of Arabsat operates various services via Arabsat 2B, Arabsat BADR-C, and Arabsat BADR-4
Since 2006 CETel successfully offers DVB/SCPC and SCPC/SCPC services on Arabsat-2B, Arabsat BADR-C and Arabsat BADR-4. CETel’s 7.3 m antenna in Germany is pointing on Arabsat-2B, providing 1- and 2-way broadband Internet services on a high-power C-band transponder for the Middle East and African market and the possibility for dedicated connections for big communication carriers between the Middle East and Africa into the European fibre network. Furthermore CETel provides iDirect services on Arabsat BADR-4 via their 9.4m antenna from their Teleport in Central Germany. For more details please see the press release .
In order to cover the full African continent CETel has started also with DVB/SCPC services via Arabsat BADR-C.
