Arabsat Declares Arabsat-4A Launch Anomaly
Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Following the Khrunichev and International Launch Services' press release issued earlier today, Arabsat regrets to announce that its satellite Arabsat-4A did not reach its designated space location in due time according to nominal scheduled plan. At this time, it is premature to comment on the actual and future satellite status.
Arabsat is reviewing all options to best address the situation. The pre-announced services' transition plan to the Arabsat-4A satellite is on hold until further notice.
Meanwhile, we would like to immediately reassure all of our commercial customers that their current services will be totally unaffected and continue to be operated as present under the exact same existing technical parameters.
