The Arab Satellite Communications Organization (Arabsat) has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Jordan Media City (JMC) to set up Television integrated solutions centres and centres for broadcasting and storage of TV materials which will form an attraction factor for broadcasting companies and private TV stations to meet the increasing demand in the developing digital transmission market.
"Pursuant to this Agreement, TV materials broadcasting centres will be made available along with the provision of all associated equipment based on integrated TV solutions basis" says Radhi Al-Khus, Managing Director, JMC. "The Agreement will also make it possible to afford storage services and TV broadcasting materials for later broadcasting".
Eng. Khalid bin Ahmad Balkheyour, Arabsat CEO, expressed that this step comes within the endeavours' sponsored by Arabsat to enhance commercial and marketing cooperation between Arabsat and media cities around Arab World which in turn will provide growth and expansion opportunities in the provision of satellite TV broadcasting and meeting customers' requirements in the growing digital broadcasting market.
In addition to its core re-known Broadcasting services to all Arab TV channels, and as a body founded and supported by The League of the Arab States, Arabsat also provides services and support, both in the private and public sector, regional and international organisations, corporations and businessmen, Internet Service Providers, and individuals from all telecom field services such as telephony trunking, Internet broadband access and trunking and the provision of VSAT and other interactive services so that it remains one of the most critical mean of communication and interaction between the Arab countries and populations and the rest of the world. Arabsat is the only qualified organization with a full integrated fleet of satellites covering all satellite TV, internet communications, and other tele-communications interoperability services on most frequency bands, ready to welcome, adapt and support all future technologies' deployments expected to take place in the Middle East and North Africa region.
Jordan Media City is one of Arab Media Company (Arab Radio & Television "ART") affiliates from which ART broadcasts its satellite television channels. JMC provides TV broadcasting capabilities to both private and public sectors and transmit them via satellite worldwide. It also affords TV production services facilities such as studios, camera equipment and dubbing services through the state-of-the-art technical and engineering technologies.
