Arabsat signs Jawrat Al-Ballout Station Extension Agreement with Lebanese Ministry of Telecommunications and discusses the establishment of a media city in Beirut.

The Arab Satellite Communications Organization (Arabsat) has signed an agreement for the extension of Jawrat Al-Ballout station with the Telecommunications Ministry of Lebanon to upgrade the station's capacity in order to establish new bouquets and cope with future extensions in satellite TV broadcasting expected to take place in the region.
The Lebanese side in the signing ceremony of the Agreement was headed by Engineer Abdul-Monem Yousef, Director General of Investment and maintenance in the Ministry of telecommunications, while Engineer Tarek bin Ahmad Balkheyour, VP for Marketing and Sales presided over Arabsat delegate.
Engineer Abdul-Monem Yousef welcomed the cooperation with the Arab Satellite Communications Organization (Arabsat) and said "We yearn for boosting our relations with both regional and international specialized organizations, Arabsat in particular, to provide a real value added in the field of telecommunications and media in the region".
Engineer Tarek bin Ahmad Balkheyour, VP for Marketing and Sales at Arabsat said that the two parties discussed the possibility of establishing a media city in Beirut following the pattern of other media cities in the region in view of Beirut's long experience in media field in general and its modern technical expertise in the satellite broadcasting.
"Arabsat is willing to provide all capabilities to participate and contribute in the establishment of this city and to benefit from the Lebanese expertise in this field", Balkheyour added.
It is worth mentioning that Arabsat has already signed similar strategic agreements with other countries in the Middle-East and North-Africa region, including Algeria, Morocco, Kuwait and Bahrain. This is in addition to it’s the agreements with Dubai Media City and Jordan Media City"

عرب سات توقع اتفاقية توسعة محطة جوره البلوط مع وزارة الاتصالات اللبنانية
وتبحث إنشاء مدينة إعلامية في بيروت

وقعت المؤسسة العربية للاتصالات الفضائية – عرب سات في بيروت بالجمهورية اللبنانية اتفاقية توسعة محطة جوره البلوط مع وزارة الاتصالات اللبنانية وذلك لرفع القدرة الاستيعابية للمحطة لإنشاء باقات أخرى وإسيتعاب التوسعات المستقبلية المتوقع أن تشهدها المنطقة في مجال البث التليفزيوني الفضائى .
وترأس الجانب اللبناني في اجتماعات توقيع الاتفاقية سعادة المهندس / عبدالمنعم يوسف مدير عام الاستثمار والصيانة بوزارة الاتصالات كما ترأس وفد عرب سات سعادة المهندس / طارق بن أحمد بالخيور نائب الرئيس للتسويق والمبيعات .
وأعرب المهندس / عبدالمنعم يوسف عن ترحيبه بالتعاون مع المؤسسة العربية للاتصالات الفضائية "عرب سات" وقال : نحرص دائما على دعم علاقاتنا مع المؤسسات الإقليمية والعالمية المتخصصة وخاصة عرب سات بغية تقديم قيمة حقيقية مضافة في مجال الاتصالات والاعلام في المنطقة .
وصرح سعادة المهندس/ طارق بالخيور نائب الرئيس للتسويق والمبيعات في عرب سات أنه تم مناقشة إمكانية إنشاء مدينة إعلامية في بيروت أسوة بالمدن الاعلامية الأخرى بالمنطقة نظرا لما تتمتع به بيروت من خبرات طويلة في المجال الإعلامي عموا وخبرات فنية حديثه في مجال البث التلفزيوني الفضائي .
وستقوم الإدارة اللبنانية بطرح هذا الموضوع بشكل جدي وكامل على الجهات المعنية لمناقشة كافة جوانبه المالية والقانونية والتسويقية وتحديد الإجراءات المطلوبة لوضع مثل هذا المشروع موضع التنفيذ .
وأضاف بالخيور أن عرب سات تطرح جميع إمكانياتها للمشاركة والمساهمة في إنشاء هذه المدينة والاستفادة من الخبرات الاعلامية اللبنانية في هذا المجال .
الجدير بالذكر أن عرب سات وقعت اتفاقيات تعاون مماثلة مع كل من الجزائر ، المغرب ، الكويت ، البحرين . إضافة إلى اتفاقيتها مع مدنة دبي الاعلامية ، والمدينة الإعلامية بالأرد .
يشار إلي أنه يستفيد من خدمات منظومة أقمار عرب سات جميع هيئات التليفزيون العربية سواء من القطاع العام أو الخاص وكذلك الهيئات الإقليمية والعالمية ؛ والشركات ورجال الأعمال والمؤسسات ومزودي خدمة الإنترنت والأفراد من مختلف خدمات الاتصالات مثل الربط الهاتفي والخدمات المحلية وخدمة الـ VSATوخدمة الإنترنت ، لتظل عرب سات أداة تواصل بين العرب، وجسر تفاعل مع العالم ، حيث أنها المؤسسة الوحيدة التي تغطى كافة أجزاء العالم العربى ودول الجوار بأسطول أقمار متكامل يشمل كافة الحزم الترددية لتأمين جميع التوسعات المستقبلية التي من المتوقع أن تشهدها منطقة الشرق الأوسط .
